The team is looking for a Product Manager to be the champion for local businesses and service providers. You should be passionate about bringing businesses and service providers on the Nextdoor platform and meaningfully connecting them with their neighborhoods online and offline.
The Impact You’ll Make
As a product manager on the local team, you partner with engineering, design, operations, data science, finance and marketing to envision and execute strategies that enable local businesses to tell their story and merchandize their product offering in their Nextdoor storefront providing a high return on investment for local businesses on Nextdoor. The local marketplace is key to Nextdoor’s success. This role requires a high degree of local business empathy and marketplace understanding. The ideal candidate will couple deep customer insights with analytical rigor to delight our business customers. We’re looking for neighbors who will advocate on behalf of businesses, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and are looking to join a team with a clear mission and purpose.
Lead the research, design, launch, and ongoing ownership of products and features
Own the local business page, merchandising and storefront experience
Inform product direction through testing, data and metrics
Energize all members of a cross-functional team to deliver value to our customers
Evangelize the Nextdoor mission of using technology to build stronger, safer neighborhoods, and effectively release world-class products that grow and improve the Nextdoor platform for local businesses and services
What You’ll Bring to The House
Customer obsession drives your product development
3+ years of demonstrated experience delivering successful and innovative products
Excellent communicator that motivates a team and stakeholders
Insights driven, you synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information
Ability to continuously learn and set a daily discovery cadence for your team
Previous experience in merchandising and developing tools for SMBs and or marketplaces a plus
